Having emerged as an artist whose sound is obsessed with unpredictability, experimentation, and razor-tight production, Framer was always destined to find a home for his music on Transparent Audio.

About to become the latest member of the TA family, the Dutch producer lands on the label accompanied by the 'Ashes of War EP, a distilled body of work that sees the ambitious drum and bass protégé serve up two solo tracks, as well as a collaboration with Dava and a remix from Revan.

Clouded in an aura of mystery, melancholy, and reverb, the first track 'Midnight' sees Framer kick off proceedings in the refined manner that the Dutch producer has become synonymous with. Moving on to the title track, 'Ashes of War' ups the intensity, with the symmetry in pads and basses making it every bit as tense, aggressive, and explosive as the name suggests. Teaming up with label favourite Dava for the sounds of 'Closer To You', the two producers collate to create a crisp, vibey, and intricately curated offering that's sure to be rinsed on sunny festival days all summer long. Signing off with a remix, Revan, who also makes up half of iconic Bristol duo ‘Ill Truth’, continues his extremely impressive work as a solo artist with his rework of 'Introspect', presenting an elaborate piece of production that's equally as impressive in its drum work as it is sound design.
