about

Curated with precision from the first second to the very last, Geostatic’s ‘Last Chance’ EP perfectly encapsulates how deep minimal drum and bass sounds at its best. Produced with power, grace, and the dance in mind, the Austrian producer lays out his sound on Transparent Audio for all to see.

As elegant as it is the amalgamation of reverb-soaked vocals, snappy drums, and smooth synths sees ‘Uncertain’ launch the EP in true Geostatic fashion. Moving through the sonics, Geostatic’s second offering, ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, delves deeper into the full extent of his sound, with gritty basses and heavy subs cementing this one as a guaranteed dance floor smasher.

Onto the title track, ‘Last Chance’ provides us with a flurry of pristine percussion and melancholic vibes, with an aura of idiosyncrasy and calibre stapled embedded throughout the track.

Lastly, we conclude the EP with a remix from a producer who needs no introduction. Fellow Austrian - based Wingz steps up to put his own spin on Geostatic’s 'Perception', implementing his own string of intricacies and production prowess in the process to create a discrete vibe to the original.

Geostatic
A producer whose sonic calibre and idiosyncrasy encapsulate how the deep and minimal spectrum of drum and bass sounds at its best, Austria-based Geostatic is back once again on Transparent Audio with this second EP, following up from his Bad Prophecy EP last year! Firmly stamping his name on the scene via his unique influx of stripped-back drums, shades of melancholy, and a catalogue of music that sounds at home in the dance. Instantly falling in love with the genre after attending Urban Arts Forms Festival in 2012, where he was acquainted with the music of Camo & Krooked, Phace & Misanthrop, and Alix Perez, Geostatic quickly began to nurture his newfound admiration for all sonics at 170BPM. After beginning to DJ in 2015, he quickly ventured into the avenue of production in 2016. Since then, he has played the likes of Outlook Festival and Lakeside Festival, as well as releasing music via imprints such as Delta 9 Recordings, Transparent Audio, Incurzion Audio, and many more. Geostatic is at the forefront of the Austrian Drum & Bass scene and is in noway looking to stop anytime soon.

Wingz
Bathed in a deep musical heritage, Wingz stands out as a producer who lives and breathes the artfrom more than most. True to his underground roots, the Vienna-based artist’s sonic palette is as authentic as it comes. Curating his sound in the sphere of deep drum and bass, Wingz’s no-nonsense, sub-heavy music has seen him land on imprints such as Flexout Audio, Sofa Sound, and Overview Music. A unique artist whose eyes are firmly planted on his craft at all days, Wingz is an artist that’s simply impossible to ignore.
